Description

The project is designed to protect an industrial load using microcontroller. Providing a protection system is very important in industries, using lot of load such that production is not hampered owing to failure of any machine.

The basic idea for the development of this project is to provide safety to the industrial motor/pump/lift Motor etc. If any of the machine, out of the all machine is controlled with the industrial timer of the motor during operation exceeds the Fixed time, motor stops immediately with help of this timer, particular time period is added to knowing the machine capacity. This leads to the relays getting switched OFF. The main relay which is powered through a set relays gets disconnected because of time out.

The power supply consists of a step-down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the mains voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a bridge rectifier and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805, which is required for the operation of the comparator and other components.
