In Electric vehicle, Battery charging system plays a major role in development of EVs. Charging of EV battery from grid increases its load demand, This leads to propose a photovoltaic (PV) array based Electric Vehicle battery charging system and the reliability of the vehicle are influenced by the battery and power electronic Converters used in battery charger. Various converters are used as the interface in this system for extracting the power from the renewable energy sources. Numerous projects have been developed in the development of renewable energy system employing different power electronic converters for electric vehicle energy storage applications. Hence this project works is focused on the design and development of PV array-based EV battery charger. The proposed system consist of ARDUINO, RFID MODEL, GSM GPS and charging circuit . The SEPIC converter allows a wide range of D.C input voltages to be adjusted to maintain a constant voltage output. This project deals the importance of SEPIC converters are used instead of other D.C-D.C converters. This project implemented using in this area of proteus software and hardware prototype of 5W is fabricated and tested in the laboratory.
